"Bench-to-Bedside: A Discussion on Translational Medicine"
The ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ Society Health Sector Network warmly invites ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ Old Members, and a guest, to a panel discussion and drinks reception on Monday 24 November 2025, 6.15pm–8.45pm, in The Burroughs Room, Wellcome Collection, 183 Euston Road, London NW1 2BE ().
Following the successful launch of the ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ Health Sector Network in October 2024, we are delighted to host our second London event “Bench-to-Bedside: A Discussion on Translational Medicine.â€
Join us for an evening exploring how scientific discovery becomes practical medicine — and what drives innovation at the interface between academia, industry and investment.
Our distinguished Old Member panel brings together complementary perspectives from across the translational pathway:
• , Extraordinary Lecturer in Biochemical Pharmacology; Professor of Pharmacology Medicine at ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ – Academic and translational science perspective.
• (2007), Partner, Monograph Capital – Venture capital and biotech investment perspective.
• (2007) – Pharmaceutical and commercial development perspective.
The discussion will examine how breakthroughs move from the laboratory to clinical practice, the challenges of funding and scaling innovation, and the future landscape for translational medicine in the UK and beyond.
We hope you can join us for a thought-provoking evening — and an excellent opportunity to reconnect with fellow ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ Old Members working across health, science, and technology.
