Oxford Cymru Consortium
At the moment, students from Wales are under-represented at Oxford. To help change this, New College, Jesus ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ, and St Catherine's ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ have launched Oxford Cymru; an extensive community outreach programme, offering bespoke and local support to students of mixed ages, their families and teachers.
To learn more about ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ's work with Welsh schools and student, please visit our Oxford for Wales webpage.
Visiting Oxford
As one of the ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ's responsible for outreach provision in Wales, we are always very happy to welcome Welsh state school groups to the ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ to find out more about Oxford.
These visits usually include:
- an introduction to the University and a session on what Oxford University is really like
- a Q&A session with current undergraduates
- a tour of the ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ
We provide a free, hot-lunch with our one-day visits running from 10.30am - 2.30pm.
We are very happy to adapt our programme to suit your group's individual requirements, so please do discuss your needs with our Head of Outreach and Communications, Daniel, at outreach@new.ox.ac.uk.
