Dr James Munro honoured with an MPLS Teaching Award
Dr James Munro, Stipendiary Lecturer in Mathematics at ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ, has recently been awarded an MPLS Teaching Award. In this award, the Mathematical, Physical, and Life Sciences (MPLS) Division aims to honour innovation and significant contributions to student learning. This year, after nominations, five winners were chosen by a cross-departmental panel chaired by Professor Martin Castell.
Alongside his work at ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ, James is the Admissions and Outreach Coordinator for the Mathematical Institute. The impact of his outreach and teaching work is felt across the student body, with one student noting that his 'passion for impressing the joy of [his] subject is palpable'.
