²ÝÁñÊÓƵ comes top of the University of Oxford Movember league table
²ÝÁñÊÓƵ's Movember team have raised over £4,000 to fund lifesaving research into men's health, prostate cancer and testicular cancer. Headed by Daniel Powell (Head of Outreach and Communications), New College's team finished top of the University of Oxford Movember league table. They raised more than any other team at Oxford, sitting a comfortable £500 ahead of Christ Church in second place.
Our JCR member, Alfred, raised the most money individually. He explained that he wanted to join the Movember team because of a personal loss. Alfred said:
"This forced me reflect on the importance of men's mental health and suicide prevention. I hope that the money we raise as a ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ for Movember will be used to help young men just like my friend who may also be suffering from mental illness or suicidal thoughts.â€
